By Mainuh
Have had my HP P7-1240 for a few weeks now. Got it at $549 and see it's already $599 now! This sucker is fast. I work in IT and it's at least 3X as fast as my PC at the office. Wish there were more than 2 USB ports facing forward (only 2 USB 3.0) but it has plenty in the rear. When asleep, it wakes easily with a light touch of the power button and is ready almost instantly. Added a 2nd hard drive from my old PC and was a little disappointed that while there was the ability to add another drive, they hadn't provided the SATA cable internally for it. The wireless connection works great, speed tested great but use Ethernet since it's right beside my router. Have not used the Bluetooth capability yet. The video seems fast and smooth and runs my RC flight simulator program very well with smooth, fast video. The video uses it's on-board memory as well as reserving 2-4GB of the 10GB PC video which must help with the speed. The USB keyboard has some audio control buttons and has a decent tactile feel to it and the optical USB mouse works well for everything I do. The DVD player is a little loud (spinning noise) if you leave a disc in that you're not using it seems to spin it (loudly) for a while after booting. Overall very happy with mine so far. I looked around a while and when I got it at $549, it seemed like one of the better deals out there for a quad core, 10GB machine with 1TB HD and decent video card. This is my 3rd HP home system and no major issues with any of them so far.

By M.Edward
I received this system in the mail about a week ago. So far I am really impressed with AMD's trinity processor... I've mostly just done browsing and some gaming. I'm able to run ARMA 2 and DayZ at very high settings with no performance or framerate issues. I've also seen videos on youtube of laptops utilizing this processor playing games such as Skyrim and Battlefield 3 so it is certainly capable of running modern games. I've only had this PC for a short while so I can't comment about much else about it. It is very quiet though. Noise is minimal even when running a cpu-intensive game like DayZ. All in all it's a good entry-level PC for gaming and anything else I can imagine doing, especially if you aren't up for the hassle of building your own computer. Hope this helps.

By Scott
Worked perfectly right out of the box. Physically nothing was wrong or out of place. No Malfunctions. I can run Diablo 3 on Max settings with no problem.
The only reason I give four stars is that like with any pre-built computer, it comes loaded with with a bunch of nonsense demos, trials, and other things that aren't necessary for the typical user.
For the price this is a nice unit that should satisfy most users, exept maybe the Hard Core gamer!
I recommend to those with know tech savvy. However if you know how, I'd build my own if I had the funds.
Enjoy!
