Windows 7 versus windows 8

This machine using the same windows 7 operating system matches closely with one I had custom made allowing me to help support my wifes use of the machine as she migrates from windows XP. Technology is rapidly outpacing my ability to keep up. I felt that a windows 8 machine would require me to start at zero base knowledge again as well. The machine is more flexible than XP and requires a knowledge base as you can easily disable features if you set up an account as an administrator only vice accounts as a restricted user and an administrator.

Have had no problems with this machine at all. Of course, this is not a gaming machine or used for video processing.
