I had read several reviews on this product, including the new Windows 8 operating system, and I have found that many people were simply acting like children when confronting a new system. Windows 8 is ENTIRELY different than any oteghr operating system they have released before and not only is it inovativce to match the rise of app based technology, but it is also fun to use and a neverending possibility for personalization and shortcuts.
I have also used several different models of all-in-one computers and the HP Envy has everything I need for media, word processing and high volume internet use with many windows open at a time.
I will say that the touch screen is more suited for Windows 8 but I never purchase brand new technology until a few kinks have been worked out, so far I am happy with my mouse oriented navigating.
The Microsoft app option for the start menu is different yet very helpful. I have already synced my Sony Tablet and smart phone along with other accounts of mine for a streamlined process.
I honestly reccomend this desktop for those working from home or graduate students needing a little more fire power than a laptop can provide (as well as larger and beautiful screen).

It's been two weeks since I opened the box and so far, I have been impressed!
I don't know where to start, well... there is nothing that hasn't worked great.

I didn't realize how much windows changes with the new OS
while nice and i am sure it will be great, you must use and create a "windows" account with an email and pw.
sounds simple. but DO NOT use a POP account email address as i have now spent two hours holding for HP support to reset the machine username info for windows 8.
